Timothy Ridley Gunya

Timothy Ridley Gunya (also know as Rosko), 59 from Roeland Park, Kansas passed away July 29, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospice House surrounded by his family.  Tim was born January 15, 1964 in Memphis, TN to Lois (Miller) Gunya and Ray Gunya.  He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School and Bishop Ward High School.  He retired from Metal Doors in 2017 after his cancer diagnosis.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Ray and his brother, Steve.  He is survived by his mother, Lois, his siblings, Kevin and Lisa, his niece, Ellyn and his nephews, Charles and Andrew as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Tim was an avid music fan attending hundreds of concert over the years, which included his "bucket List" trip to Iceland with his brother Kevin to see his favorite band WIlco.  Tim also loved fishing, the mountains and his local sports teams - Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC and KU Jayhawks.

Tim's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday August 6, 2023 from 12-4 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Club, 4th and Barnett, KCK.  Please wear your special sports team shirt in Tim's honor.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for all those who were involved in his care during his cancer battle - KU Cancer Center, KU Palliative Care and St. Luke's Hospice House as well as all the love and support from his family and friends.

Donations can be made in Tim's memory to KU Cancer Center, KU Outpatient Palliative Care or St. Luke Hospice House.
