Therese Marie Tomasic

Therese Marie Tomasic of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on January 4, 2020 with her family by her side. Therese was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Ed and Wanda Keuchel. She was a life-long Dotte. She was married to Thomas J. Tomasic, Sr. for 64 years. Therese is survived by her son, Thomas J. Tomasic, Jr. (Denise) and a daughter, Lauren Raphel. She is also survived by grandchildren, Thomas J. Tomasic, III (Tracy), Ryane Helder, and Ian Tomasic (Ashlee) and great-grandchildren, Braydon, Celia and Lucas Tomasic. She also leaves a brother, Ed Keuchel (Mary), and many nieces and nephews and non-family grandchildren who she called her own. Heartfelt thanks to Gloria Peresic Fields and Tracy Tomasic for the loving nursing care they provided during her final years. Therese graduated from Bishop Ward High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at The Hartford. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at the Strawberry Hill Museum & Cultural Center and at Providence Medical Center. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, St. Bernadettes Circle and the churchs altar society. When Therese was not helping her husband Tom with St. Johns Tamburitzans, the Strawberry Hill Museum or activities at the church, she enjoyed making ceramics and babysitting her grandchildren. Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th Street, Kansas City, Kansas on January 18th, 2020 from 9:00-10 AM. Funeral mass will immediately follow the visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church, the Strawberry Hill Museum & Cultural Center or the Kansas City, Kansas Police Athletic League.
