Stjepan Dukovcic

Stjepan Dukovcic, 78, of Kansas City, KS passed away February 17, 2025 from Alzheimer's at Overland Park Post Acute nursing home. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday, February 28th followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven cemetery. 

Stjepan was a member of the American-Croatian social club. He was a very proud Croatian. He was known for his humor and fun-loving spirit. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Stjepan was born August 24, 1946, to Janko and Marija Dukovcic in Gorica, Croatia. Stjepan immigrated to the United States in 1969. While in Kansas City, Stjepan worked as a welder for 30 years at Harlan Corporation. Stjepan married his late wife, Marica, in 1974, and together they had one son, Branimir. 

Stjepan is preceded in death by his wife, Marica; son Branimir; parents Janko and Marija; three infant brothers; sister Ljubica, and brothers-in-law Frank and Nikola. 

He is survived by his sister, Ana; brother Juro (Barbara); nephews Ivan (Kimberly), Janko (Ankica), Ivan (Ivancica); nieces Zlatica (Patrick), Marica (Tommy), Diana (Patrick); great-niece, Amanda (Corey); and great-great nieces and nephews in Missouri and Croatia.
