Sharon Sestrich

Sharon Ann Sestrich, 73, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016. Sharon was born June 28, 1943 to Frank and Mildred Grzebieniak in Kansas City, KS. She married the love of her life, Robert "Jim" Sestrich on November 24, 1965 and together they raised two sons, Jeff and Jimmy. Sharon will be remembered for her love of NASCAR (What channel is the race on this week?), reading, family, and her passion for food and cooking. She could make a mean Rotel dip and her bread pudding was second to none. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim, and grandson, Cody. Sharon is survived by two sons, Jeff Sestrich of Plattsburg, MO, and James Sestrich and wife, Kristina, of Liberty, MO, and granddaughter, Victoria Sestrich. Per Sharon and the familys wishes, there will be no services. A private family burial will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to KU Medical Centers Center for Advanced Heart Care in Sharon and Cody Sestrichs name. In addition, the family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at KU Medical Centers Center for Advanced Heart Care, especially those in the Cardiac ICU.
