Robert (Bob) E. Scott 81 of Kansas City, Ks. passed away peacefully at home on July 05, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born October 8, 1939, in Kansas City, Ks. to Martha Flanders (Mother) and Eugene Scott (Father). Bob joined the Air Force in 1957 surviving two tours in Vietnam then went on to join and retire from the Army Reserve as a Master Sergeant. Bob was extremely proud to have served his country. He also went on to retire from the state of California penitentiary system where he served in many different capacities over the course of 20 years while he resided in California.
Bob was a proud member of The Loyal Order of the Moose where he held the Fellowship Degree of Honor and served as Deputy Supreme Governor in The Kansas Moose Association. He spent a considerable amount of his retirement at the lodge sitting in the social quarters greeting everyone as they came in the door. He was always happy to see and visit with people.
Bob regularly attended Mass at St. John the Baptist and Christ the King Churches in Kansas City, Ks prior to his declining health taking its toll.
Bob loved life and really enjoyed traveling, having traveled to many places in the world and all over the United States. He always shared stories of his adventures in the military, of his time in California, and of his many Moose conventions, which he attended with family and friends.
He was a devoted father and is already greatly missed.
Bob is survived by ex-wife Loretta J. Scott (Carr) and four children: Robert A. Scott (Dawn), Richard A. Scott, Amy L. Scott, David A. Scott (Kristina), and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services for Bob will be Thursday July 22, 2021 beginning with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, Kansas City, Kansas, with inurnment at Leavenworth National at 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge 1999, 6621 Turner Dr., Kansas City, Kansas.
