Pauline Rahija

Pauline Rahija, 99, of Kansas City Kansas went to be with her Lord on November 4, 2018. She passed away at the Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she received hospice care.Pauline was born on August 18, 1919 in Kansas City, KS. She attended Wyandotte High School and studied engraving at the Kansas City School of Watch Making. Pauline inspired us to live life fully, laugh with friends, and love family. Her passions were caring for her family, porcelain doll making, swimming, and traveling with her husband Frank. Pauline would want all of us to not mourn, but celebrate her life, cherish our memories, and find time to have fun. Her husband Frank P. Rahija, and son, Frank J. Rahija preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter Paula Snider, two sons, Dan (Sheri) Rahija and Richard (Linda) Rahija, three step-granddaughters, Nicole Osborn, Missy (Jeff) Hargate, Rebecca (Shannon) Freeman and two grandsons, Paul (Beth) Snider and Bryan James (Elizabeth Van Brocklin) Rahija and two great grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 53rd and Leavenworth Rd., Kansas City, Kansas. The Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 AM. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 38th and State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas, will immediately follow the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. The Rahija family extends their special thanks to all the relatives, friends and parishioners of Christ the King church who visited and prayed for her. Thanks also to the caring staff of the Bonner Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the staff of the Encompass Health who provided Pauline with hospice care.
