Norvonne Louis Sparacino Gebelin

June 7, 1949 — October 7, 2017

Norvonne Louise Sparacino Gebelin, 68, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
Norvonne was the only daughter born to Joseph & Norma Sparacino on July 7, 1949 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
As a young girl, Norvonne was what is affectionately referred to as a "military brat." As a result, she traveled extensively throughout her youth, living in Nuremburg Germany, Boston, Massachusetts, and Cookeville, Tennessee. Her travels, no doubt, sparked her love for art and instilled a sense of compassion for others from all walks of life. After high school, Norvonne attended the Kansas City Art Institute where she bolstered her artistic spirit. She later trained as a technician at St. Margarets Hospital before working in Labor & Delivery and taught childbirth classes at Bethany Hospital.
Norvonnes enthusiasm for life and others was demonstrated by her work as a community volunteer with the Piper School District and eventually with the Red Cross, where she organized various health fairs.
Ever-expanding her experience and wisdom, Norvonne travelled to Egypt, Brazil, Italy, Germany, France, England, and Belgium throughout her life. She later achieved a degree from Kansas City Community College in her adult years.
Norvonne Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Norma Sparacino and her brother, David.
She is loved by her four beautiful grandchildren: Jake, Cooper, NoraBell, & Gillian, and further survived by her devoted husband, Manuel, her daughter Gabriella & husband Alan, son Marcus & wife Sarah, and daughter Rachel & husband Ryan, who lovingly describe her as intelligent, caring, funny, and beautifully unique.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9-10 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crosslines Food Pantry. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.skradskifh-kc.com
