Norma Jean Hawkins

Norma Jean Hawkins passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2021 at the University of Kansas Hospital. The family would like to thank the nursing staff, respiratory therapists, social workers , physicians, and the Palliative Care Team for the wonderful care she received. Jean was born January 21st, 1937 at the old Providence Hospital KCK. She worked many years for William Hutton, Attorney at Law.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert W. Vestal and Betty A. Post. Jean is the mother of four daughters - Sherry Spence (Ted), Leslie Dickason, Belinda "BJ" Hanson (Mark), Jonnie Overcash, grandmother of 11, and great grandmother of 11. She enjoyed doing arts and craft, watching the Kansas City Royals and Jayhawk basketball.
On Wednesday August 18th, 2021 from 430-730. The family will host a Celebration of her Life
