Mladen Stancic

Mladen Stancic, 79, died peacefully at home February 20, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th Street, Kansas City, KS where the rosary will be prayed at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 pm, Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th Street, Kansas City, KS. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mladen was born October 19, 1935 in Lukovdol, Croatia to Stanko and Viktoria Stancic. He retired from Best Tool Mfg. in 1995 after 25 years of employment.Mladen was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at Strawberry Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stanko; a sister, Gordana Simpraga. Survivors include his wife, Safeta; a son Damir Stancic and wife Theresa; brother, Boris Stancic; a sister, Giselle Kapetanovic; nieces and nephews.Mladen will be remembered for his love, sense of humor and wisdom towards his family and friends. We have lost a great husband, father and friend. His passing will leave an empty place, but his memory will fill our hearts.
