Miro Jadric

May 1, 1953 — July 28, 2021

Miro Jadri passed away on July 28, 2021 in Manhattan, Kansas, surrounded by his family at the age of 68. He was born in his home in Jadrii, Croatia. He grew up tending to cows, roaming the woods, swimming the Kupa river, working in fields with his family and helping his dad in his blacksmith workshop. Miro moved to the United States with his grandparents and uncle in 1969 at the age of 16. Two and half years later, he returned to Croatia to marry his sweetheart and never let her out-of-his sight again.
Miro worked at a paper company, Harlan Corporation, then moved on to his life-long career at General Motors Fairfax Plant as a Tool and Die Maker for 34 years. He proudly wore his GM hat and jacket during much of his life. Miro was a hard-working man who was never known to sit down. Those who knew Miro, knew that he was an incredibly strong and fit man his entire life. When he was not at work, he would be working on his house, his cars, his land or making wine and smoked meats. Miro also enjoyed bowling, soccer, singing, dancing, and playing his accordion. Above all, Miro was known for his generosity towards his daughters, sense of humor and contagious smile. When Miro was in a good mood, you never wanted to leave his side.
Miro Jadri was survived by his wife, Jasna Jadri his daughters, Nancy Evangelidis and Sandy Jadri his son-in-law, Laki Evangelidis; his five granddaughters (Sophia Evangelis, Nadia Evangelidis, Isabella Evangelidis, Ilena Norris, and Liliana Norris); his mother, Katica Jadri his brother Jure Jadri his sister, Anica Dolinar, his uncles, Miko Jadri and Joe Hotujac.
Miro was diagnosed with dementia in the fall of 2019. His dementia was extremely aggressive and swift. His family sends out their gratitude to the staff and supporters of Good Shepherd Hospice House for allowing him to pass with comfort, dignity, and with his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Miro Jadric, to No Stone Unturned, to which his daughter is a board-member. No Stone Unturned helps children, like Miros granddaughters, get the help they need to be successful in school and life.Website https://nsuf.org or mail to: PO Box 654, Manhattan, KS 66505.
