Mirica M. (Suljak) Black, 59, of Parkville, MO, formerly of Kansas City, KS, went to her heavenly kingdom July 7, 2017. Visitation will be 8:30 am Thursday at St. John the Baptist Church, 708 N. 4th St., Kansas City, KS where the rosary will be prayed at 9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. John the Baptist Church or to an animal charity of the donors choice.
Mirica was born January 13, 1958 in Mrzljaki, Croatia to Mike and Mary Suljak and has resided in Kansas City since 1967. She graduated from St. John the Baptist grade school, Bishop Ward High School and Park University. Marica worked as a statistic collector for the Department of Labor. Mirica is survived by her husband, Pat Black; her mother, Mary Suljak; step children, Travis, Kale and Broke Black; three step grandchildren; sister, Katherine Suljak (Jerome Mulich); aunt, Slovica and husband Aldo; uncles, John and wife Mary and Joe; cousins, Vladimir, Marian, Robert and Jennifer, Joe and Christina.
