Mary Sirkovich

Marija "Mary" Sirkovich, 73, of Kansas City, KS died peacefully and surrounded by family on Friday, October 23, 2015, at Brookdale Rosehill Nursing Home in Shawnee, Kansas, after a long struggle with brain cancer.
Mary was born on December 6, 1941 in Skukani, Croatia, to Michael Hlade and Barka (Baric) Hlade. She was the wife of the late Bozidar "Charlie" Sirkovich.
Maria and Charlie were married on November 13, 1960 and moved to Kansas City, KS in 1967. Maria was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Kansas City, KS, where she was a member of the Senior Citizen Group, Altar Society and the Croatian American Social Club. She was a wonderful cook, baker and enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family.
Maria is survived by her brother, John (Anna) Hlade; sister Donna (Vladimir) Spudic; sons, Josip (Teresa Wilson) Sirkovich, Lexington, MA and Richard (Ronda) Sirkovich, Shawnee, KS; Three grandsons, three nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5:00 7:00 PM with Rosary at 6:30 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 North 6th Street, Kansas City, KS. Mass celebrating her life will be held the following day on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 708 N. 4th, Kansas City, KS 66101. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 708 N. 4th, Kansas City, KS 66101.
