Mary Frances Horvat

Mary Frances Horvat, 92 of Lansing, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Services for Mary will be Tuesday. April 11, at 10:00AM at Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church, 5035 Rainbow Boulevard Westwood, KS. Burial will be Wednesday, April 12, at 10AM in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.

Mary was born January 8, 1931 in Wamego, Kansas to Leo and Margaret (Shopper) Passman. She was a registered nurse and taught piano for over fifty years. Mary married John William Horvat (deceased) in 1951 and raised a family of five children, Jane, Marian, John, Leo and Margaret. She was one of the first members of the Traditional Catholic Mass community of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne.

Mary is survived by her children; Jane Ruwe (Tom) Marian Horvat, John Horvat II, Leo Horvat (Amy). Siblings, Joan Crewse and Patricia McKenzie. Preceding her are her Parents, John and daughter Margaret.
