Mary Ellen Fracul

Mary Ellen (Braun) Fracul, 85 passed away Sunday January 26th, 2020 at KU Medical Center with her family by her side. Visitation will be Thursday, January 30th from 9-10AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM both at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 Nth 4th, KCKS. Burial following at Mt. Calvary, KCKS. Mary Ellen was born on January 4, 1935 to Ambrose and Rose (Handler) Braun, in Kansas City, KS. She was a 1952 Wyandotte High School graduate. Mary Ellen worked as a secretary, until she and husband George of 61 years, had their children Susan and Paul. She loved being a mom and helped with school projects, doing whatever was needed for her childrens classrooms. Crochet and baking kept her busy when the kids were young. Mary Ellen loved the penny machine at the casino, her tablet that she played poker on and being with her family. Her smile was contagious and made everyone feel at ease. Mary Ellen and George kept busy by helping with the bereavement luncheons and the Senior Meetings at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where they were lifelong members. Mary Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and grandma. She is survived by husband, George, children; Susan (Jim) Fuhrmann, Paul Fracul and grandsons Derek and Devin Fuhrmann. Preceded by parents, sisters, Rose Mare Misenhelter, Helen "Dolly" Ferbezar, brothers Leroy and Robert "Pooch" Braun.
