Mary Ann Anzek

Mary Ann (Kovac) Anzek 95, Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her home. Burial will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mary Ann was born November 20, 1921, on Strawberry Hill to Anthony and Pauline (Stimac) Kovac. She attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and after graduating she attended the School of Cosmetology at 8th & Minnesota. She was a cosmetologist all her life. Mary Ann was employed at Albertis Beauty Salon, Rudys Beauty Salon. Worked part-time at Loves Hair Styling Salon and Gentleman Jims. She owned Mary Anns Beauty Salon, 59th & Leavenworth Rd for 8 years and retired in July of 1983
Mary Ann and her husband John were members of Don Lipovacs Booster Club, Walters Dance Center and danced in many competitions. They were Organic Gardeners and this led to her degrees in Doctor of Nutrition. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, three sisters, sons; Donald and John, and grandson Richard. Survivors include one granddaughter and a great grandson.
