OBITUARY FOR: MARIE CATHERINE VERBECKMarie Catherine Verbeck, 95, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015 at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, KS. The Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Thursday, Nov. 12 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th St., KC,KS. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Wed., Nov. 11, at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., KC,KS with the Rosary being prayed at 6:40 PM. Donations may be made in Marie's memory to St. John's Church.Marie was born Aug. 4, 1920 to George and Margaret (Sachen) Verbeck in KC, KS and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. John's church and worked for Cudahay Meat Packing Co. before going to work as a Tax Consultant for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years. Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister: Albina Thompson; and three brothers: Frank, George and William Verbeck. She is survived by her sister: Sr. Mary Sharon Verbeck, SCL, and two brothers: Richard (Wanda) and Thomas Verbeck, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
