Margaret A. Lampe

Margaret Ann (Hartung-Dunston) Lampe, 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at KC Hospice House. Mass of Christian burial will be December 23 at 9:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 North 4th Street, Kansas City, KS. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be held at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N 6th Street, Kansas City, KS. December 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with Rosary at 6:30 PM. Margaret was a life long resident of the Strawberry Hill area. She raised her 5 children in Edwardsville, KS and then returned to the Strawberry Hill area after retirement. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many people. Margaret never met a stranger! She enjoyed working outside, cutting lawns. I think at one time she cut all of the lawns on her block. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and being around people. When she was younger she enjoyed going to the Lake of the Ozarks every weekend, cooking out side and drinking her miller lite! After retiring from 2 companies she started volunteering and working for St. Johns Catholic Church and School. She also worked at Crosslines Community program. She was always active until she could no longer do it. She loved her family more than anything in the world. Whenever she was asked what means the most, she would always reply her family. She was the core of our team. If any of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids needed anything she was there for them. She would of course tell them what she thought but she was always supportive! My favorite thing about her was that she would never let you leave without telling you she loved you!
