Kathy Shinn

Kathy Shinn was born July 2, 1960, and passed away January 19, 2023, after battling multiple health issues. Kathy was preceded in death by her father William Shinn and her mother Alice Craig. Kathy leaves behind the love of her life, her husband Grady Newton. Kathy also leaves two sisters Lori (Allen) Simmons and Billie (Tim) Cornell, her uncle Joe and Aunt Rosemary who helped Kathy in so many ways over the years. Kathy had master’s degrees of Science Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Kansas. She was a K-5 special education teacher in the Kansas City, Kansas public schools until she was no longer able to teach due to her health issues. Kathy was an amazing and loving Nanny to several children over the years. Visitation for Kathy will be February 23rd, 2023 from 1:00PM to 2:00 PM.
