Joseph "Mike" Wohletz, 53, of Kansas City, KS, passed away July 12, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Visitation will be Thursday July 16, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the rosary prayed at 6:30 at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., KC, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am, Friday July 17, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 54th & Leavenworth Rd., KC, KS. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or to Sister Servants of Mary.
Joseph Michael was born March 19, 1962 to Joseph and Mary (Kukovich) Wohletz. Mike was a 1980 Graduate of Bishop Ward High School and went on to work as a plasterer journeyman. Mike was very generous and always put the needs of others before his own. He was a very talented craftsman and some of his proudest accomplishments include the restoration of the ornate ceiling moldings in the historic Union Station (http://www.unionstation.org/renovations), as well as, the finished basement he completed in his parents home.
Surviving Mike are his parents; 3 siblings, Judy Wohletz, Dr. Jerry (Tina) Wohletz, both of Boston MA., and Jenny (Jim) Pelner of Phoenix, AZ; two nieces (Natalie and Madeleine), one nephew (Brett), aunts, uncles and cousins. A special heartfelt thanks to the ICU Staff at SMMC, Amanda, Debbie, Kate and Donna.
