Joseph 'Joe' Beggs

Joseph William Beggs, 59 of Wichita, Kansas passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center, of complications from back surgery. Services for Joe will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St, Kansas City, Kansas, beginning with Visitation from 9AM to 10:30AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Inurnment to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.

Joe was born June 27, 1962, to John and Mary (Fitzgerald) Beggs in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Bishop Ward in 1980 where is excelled in both Football and Baseball. He pitched at KCKCC and Missouri Western State College and attended Pittsburg State. Joe was fortunate enough to have a son, Brandon who was his pride and joy. Joe loved living life. He loved spending time with family and friends and watching movies. He was a master at story telling. He could remember every detail of the story that would make you laugh until you were crying. Whenever he came into town to visit family and friends his first stop was always Go Chicken Go and or some Bar-B-Que place. He had many life-long friends that are heartbroken hearing of his passing. Joe worked at various places as a supervisor for meat processing plants. He worked for ConAgra and his last job with Smithfield in Wichita.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, but also his brother John B. Beggs. He is survived by his son Brandon, of DeSoto, KS. Surviving are five siblings, sisters Janice Kraly (Mike) of KCK and Joan Beggs, Lenexa, KS and brothers Jim Beggs, Jeff Beggs, Jerome Beggs of KCK and Sister-in-law Tammy Cook, Basehor, Ks He leaves 6 nephews Bryan Beggs, Sean Beggs, Zach Beggs, Jacob Beggs, Adam Kraly, and Dominic Kraly and 8 great nieces and nephews.

The family request memorials be made at Christ the King Church in his name.

His love for life, his work ethic and and spirit will be missed. Rest Well Joe, you deserve it.,
