Joseph was born June 29, 1926, in KCK, to Jacob and Mary (Lach) Andalikiewicz. Upon graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1944 he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the Philippines and Japan. After WWII, he met the love of his life, Helen Marchin at a dance. They both enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes. They married on May 8, 1948 and raised three children together. Joe worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. After an accident, he worked as an engraver for Liepsner & Co. creating police badges and rubber stamps until retiring in 1991.

Joe was a member of Cathedral of St. Peter Parish and a former member of St. Cyril and Methodius Church and its Knights of Columbus. His love of life and happiness could be felt by all who surrounded him. Family was everything to him and you were always guaranteed a laugh or a smile in his presence. He enjoyed building model airplanes and was a self-proclaimed "computer geek." He loved his Polish heritage, BBQ, KFC, warm beer and family celebrations. Joe lived by these Polish words, "Nie martw sie, co bedzie, to bedzie." Don't worry, what will be will be.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Helen of 68 years, also by his parents and six siblings. He is survived by his children; Joseph Andalikiewicz Jr (Linda); Susan Toedtmann (Merrell); Thomas Andalikiewicz (Kathy) all of Shawnee, KS, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren (and one due in March).
