Jesse Anthony Lopez Jr.

Jesse Anthony Lopez, Jr. born December 22, 1982 in Kansas City, Kansas, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 40 and passed peacefully at his home on September 29th, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Cynthia Lopez, Sr., brother Matthew (Sarah), nephews Dominic, Xavier, and niece Laila.

Jesse Lopez, Jr. was a bright light that shined on everyone that knew him. To quote one of his friends, Jesse was soft spoken, never asked for much, loved his family deeply, and always had a smile on his face. He was a hard worker, he worked until he physically could not anymore. Jesse was an avid Sporting KC fan, a season ticket holder, and also loved the KC Chiefs. Although he was loved deeply by his parents, brother, family, and friends, God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.

A Visitation for Jesse will take place on Friday, October 6th, 2023 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm, followed by a Mass of Christian burial from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, at The Cathedral of Saint Peter the Apostle, 409 N 15th St, Kansas City, KS 66102. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery after mass. A luncheon will follow the burial at the church hall.
