Jack went to Ward High School, and served his country during World War ll. He worked as plant supervisor for Fairbanks Morse. He enjoyed sports and was an avid bowler and golfer, getting his first hole-in-one at 79 years of age, and enjoying the links with his "Yugo" buddies! He was a fan of Notre Dame, KU, the Royals and the Chiefs. He took up reading in his eighties and had read over 500 books, ranking each of them by how much he liked them. He also enjoyed spending summer days at his lake house on Gardner Lake.
Jack was a gentleman, loved by many people and worshipped by his family. He was kind, generous, and when you talked to him, he wanted to know everything that was going on in your life, and would remember these facts the next time you saw him. He was the self proclaimed CEO of Breits Stein and Deli, member of the German-American Edelweiss society and the Fraternal order of Tequila drinkers. He liked to travel and had the sharpest of minds till Corona virus took his life. Even though he was 93, and lived such a full life, so many are sorry to say goodbye. He also has legions of family and friends waiting for him in heaven.
His family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Schultz and the wonderful nurses and doctors at Advent for the excellent care they gave to Jack.
