Georgette Pemberton

Georgette Pemberton, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 10, 1934, to George and Rose (Loncaric) Dolinar. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas and a graduate of Bishop Ward High School. She married Vincent Pemberton and was proud of her career as a legal secretary.

She was a master quilter and entered and won several events. She was generous in giving away her projects to family members. Camping with family and friends was a part of her adult life. After retirement she and Vince enjoyed traveling around the United States and many trips to other countries, including cruises. She was an active member of her church, a member of the Altar Society, active member of the St. John’s Seniors, key member of the Bereavement Committee, instrumental in the preparation and serving the many dinners for the parish. She also supported the efforts of many local charities.

Georgette was a loving person and was loved in return. She always focused on the bright side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son George Robert Pemberton, sister Rosemarie Dunnuck. She was survived by her husband Vince, sister Donna Dolinar Stalker (Steve), daughter Patrice Dorian, son Michael Pemberton (Susan), and grandchildren: T. J. Dorian (Elisa), Kate Cervantes (Martin), Hannah Ludwig (Shawn), and Brian Pemberton, and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 North 4th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.; rosary at 10:00 a.m; Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 and entombment at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
