Frances L. Adney (Martincich), 90, passed away surrounded by her loving family Thursday, April 12, 2018. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM Sunday, April 15, at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th Street, KCKS, with rosary at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N 53rd St, KCKS. Interment following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, KCKS.
She was born July 10, 1927 in Kansas City, KS. Frances was a member of Christ the King parish since 1953. She was the familys matriarch and true example of love and faith. Family will remember how she tried to teach everyone how to polka dance, like she and Royce. Frances showed her love by sharing Slovenian dishes with her family and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Leopold and Katherine (Cvitkovich) Martincich, husband Royce M. Adney (2015) and 4 Siblings. Surviving are children, Sharon Ethridge (Bill), Ron Adney (Kathy), Jane Vega (Rod Carson), David Adney (Jackie); grandchildren, Chris McDonald (Bernie), Jennifer Traffis (Mike), Amy Hays (Jeremy), Doug Adney (Carli), Rachael Drake, Quin Adney, Collin Adney, Cam Adney; great-grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Lucy, Cole, Brendan, Sophia and her brother, Ed Martincich.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Christ the King Catholic Church, Alzheimers Association or Ascend Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Lenexa and Ascend Hospice Care for their care and love shown during these last few days.
