Frances Catherine Rodina

November 29, 1925 — July 14, 2021

Frances C. Rodina, 95 passed peacefully in her sleep on July 14th. She was at Olathe Hospice House, a kind and loving place. Most recently she lived at Garden Terrace, whose staff we so very much appreciate. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward B Rodina, her five Shomin brothers, brothers and sisters-in-law on the Rodina side.
Frances was a fierce woman but a gracious loving mother and a Navy wife of 24 years. She was a double Blue Star mother, and a double Blue Star grandmother. She was a staunch supporter of the Don Lipovac Orchestra and made many of their costumes. She was wardrobe mistress for the St. John Tamburitzans for a great number of years, and had many "children" there. She made Catholic school uniforms for most of the schools in the KC area, boomers and beyond. She made the very first cheerleader uniforms for the Kansas City Chiefs and many beautiful wedding dresses for many ladies on Strawberry Hill
She leaves her children, Edward Michael "Edo" Rodina (Nancy), Stephen Charles "Stevie" Rodina (Mary), Terese Marie "Terri" Manning, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Golubski (Reg), and Bernadette "Bunny" Rodina (Tommy Diehsner) along with her grandchildren Jessica Delich, Jed Rodina (Medea), Ali Lough (Jonas) Jacob Rodina, Casimir (Caz) Golubski (Jennifer) Nick Rodina (Sarah), Katie Brooks (Billy), Kent Sedgwick (Shauna), Christy Henderson (Dustin), Tommy Diehsner III (Hope) and 17 great-grandchildren including Lana, Stella, Carter, Jacob Jr, Aubrey, Blace, Abigail, Hailey, Charlotte, Julie Beth, Sammy, Jack, Nate, Tallulah and Anthony. She had numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Our love for her is unending. She is with God, was greatly loved and will be missed by all!
Please join us for a celebration of Frances life. Services will be July 26th, 9:30 AM visitation, Rosary at 10:45, Mass at 11.
