Florence Seaman

Florence (Bayuk) Seaman, age 98, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17th from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 274 Orchard Street, Kansas City Kansas. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1150 N 38th St, Kansas City, KS  66102. 

Florence was born July 5, 1926, in Kansas City, Kansas. She grew up in the Strawberry Hill community. She married Joseph “Sam” Seaman, also from Strawberry Hill, and had eight children: Steve, Joan Lyman (Tom), Ed, Liz Gilstrap (Kevin), Joe (Elly), Michelle Weakley (Scott), Rose, and Jim. Florence has six grandchildren: Gary Harris (Ariane), Sara Harris; Rachel Janose; Lauren Gilstrap McCullough (Dr. Matt); Sam Seaman (Lauren), and Melissa Seaman Horton (Jacob). … and ten great grandchildren: Ryleigh, Hudson, Remington and Everett Harris-Burleigh; Leia and Emmalin Seaman; Katherine, Jacqueline and George McCullough; Florence (Baby Flo) Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam and her son Ed.
