Elizabeth 'Betty' Schmelzle

Elizabeth "Betty" Schmelzle, 97 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Monday, August 19, 2019. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday Aug. 23rd beginning at 9:30-10:30 AM and 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N 94th St, Kansas City, Ks. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary, Kansas City, Ks. Elizabeth was born on April 17, 1922 to James and Margaret (Warner) Morgan in Kansas City, MO. She was a Nurse for over 50 years, became a widow when her husband Paul died in 1958 to five boys. John (Vietnam 1969), James (1996), Paul "Bill" (Genia) of Greta, NE., Robert (Deborah) and Michael, both of Kansas City, Kansas. Betty was an active member for St. Patrick Grade School when her sons where in school and later became a constant helper with St. Patricks Altar Society and volunteered at Providence Hospital. Surviving her are three sons, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
