Eugene Sostarich

Eugene Sostarich, 88, of Kansas City, KS passed away August 28,2023, surrounded by his family. A Visitation will be at 9 am – 10 am Sept. 6^th 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The rosary will be at 10:00a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30am - 11:30am Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. John’s at 12:15pm. Memorial contributions may be given to Kansas City Hospice or St. John the Baptist Church.

Eugene was born November 27^th, 1934, the son of Louis and Veronica (Klepac), in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born and was raised on Strawberry Hill.   

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Joseph Sherry and Anthony Sostarich, sisters; Dorothy Denk and Emma Jean Panjada and wife; Lila Sostarich. He is survived by his three  children; daughter, Cheryl Sostarich; sons, David Sostarich and wife Mary; and Timothy Sostarich and wife Sandra; six grandchildren, Adam, Cortney, Rachel, Colby, Abigail, and Caleb Sostarich. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Sostarich and many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the caregivers of  Kansas City Hospice for providing compassionate care in his final days.
