Dr. Jim Kostelac Jr., 56, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N. 15th St. KC, KS. Internment at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday March 22 from 5 to 7 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th KC, KS. with Rosary at 5 PM.
Jim was born August 10, 1959 to James and Carol (Cahill) Kostelac. He was a KCK boy all his life, attending Cathedral of St. Peter grade school, Bishop Ward High School, KCKCC, attended KSU and graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College. Jim was a volunteer at the Cathedral, loved his Cyclones and Wildcats. He was the most loyal sports fan for his daughter Maddie and nieces & nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father and wife Julie Bahr-Kostelac. He leaves behind his daughter, Maddie; his mother Carol; brother, John (Kim) Kostelac; sister, Jane (Bill) Leverich; in-laws Mickey and Diane Bahr and many nephews and nieces and his grand dogs, Beau and Humphrey.
