Dorothy L. Hendrix

Dorothy L. Hendrix, age 94, passed away peacefully 02/21/2025 at the Hospice House of Kansas City. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

 She dedicated her life to her family always there with a listening ear and a warm embrace. She touched so many hearts, and we are so grateful for every precious memory.

 She was preceded in death by her husbands Ray Hendrix (2008), and Ralph Moody (1981). Her children, daughter Deborah Abbott (2021) son Larry R Moody (2022) granddaughter Beth Moody (2008). She was the eldest girl in a family of 12 children.

 She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving siblings are Homer (Butch) Stottlemire of Wellsville Ks; Ted Stottlemire of Broken Bow, Ne; Clara Mason of Kansas City Ks.; and Gladys Palmer of Dallas,Tx.

 She is survived by daughter-in-law Theresa Macek-Moody of Wellsville, KS, 1 granddaughter, 3 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. She leaves behind her very special friend Curt Licktieg.

 Celebration of life will be 4/12/25 at The Forum, 3501 West 95th St. Overland Park Ks. 66206 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
