Deona L. "Dee" Pierce, 76, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away October 31, 2016.
Dee was born December 17, 1939 in Cleveland, TN. She was a graduate of North Kansas City High School. On March 25, 1957 she married R. Stephen "Steve" Pierce and together they raised their five children.
Dee was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Steve; her daughter, Stephanie Rose Erdman and her mother, Helen Gibson. She is survived by her sons, Mike, Brian, Steve and wife Nicole and Matt Pierce; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Sue Weltner and husband Ed, and 3 nephews. Steve and Dees lives revolved around their family, cherishing every moment they had with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:30-3:30pm Friday, November 4th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City MO, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 3:30. Interment will be at the Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More Church, Kansas City Hospice or because of her love for all children, Bags of Fun Kansas City to make a difference in the lives of children and their families who are faced with fighting cancer and other long-term childhood diseases.
