Delbert 'Del' Ladish

Sunday, December 26, 2021 saw the passing of and end of the extraordinary life of Delbert "Del" Ladish. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he was proud of his Croatian heritage. He captivated all who knew him with his great wit and storytelling. He never forgot a joke! A standout athlete at Wyandotte High School he signed a contract with the Pittsburg Pirates but fate intervened when he met the love of his life at the ball park! He married Karen Stronach when she was 15 and he was 20. His favorite subject was bragging to everyone who would listen of their 64 years together. There were blessed with 5 children, Russ Ladish, Kelly MacKenzie, Shelby Chambers, Heather Ladish and Todd Ladish. 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. They all knew they were blessed with the best and will carry on a proud family legacy. He devoted many hours to coaching youth sports and every kid that knew him was a better person for it. Del was a happy, friendly upbeat guy, always willing to help others. He lived for his family. Our hearts are broken but we were blessed to have him. Rest in peace, Sweetheart!
