On Tuesday, June 11th, 2019, Colin Kochsmeier, loving son and brother passed away at the age of 27. Colin was born on March 23rd, 1992 in Kansas City, Kansas son of David and Julie (Tucker) Kochsmeier. He was the second oldest of six children and lived his entire life in Kansa City, Kansas. Besides his parents Colin has a loving family, including his five siblings Brittany Stoker (husband Beau), Austin (Fianc Kelsey), Tyler, Mckenzie, and Alyssa. He was a devoted uncle that adored his nieces Sophie, and Ella as well as his godson Brayden. Colin was a wonderful grandson to Joseph and Rosemary Tucker, nephew to Jody (Cindy), Tony (Nettie), Jason (Natalie), Jerome (Cassie), and Melanie Tucker. Also, a great cousin to Courtney (Ryan), Tony Jr., Jack, and Leah. Colin was preceded in death by his grandma Helen Marie Warman. In his free time if Colin wasnt traveling to one of his many favorite places you could find Colin at home with Panera Bread grilled cheese and tomato soup, usually pairing this with vanilla coke and the history channel. Colin loved researching and watching the history channel to expand his vast knowledge of history, especially military history. He was a lover of cars from an early age when he pretended to drive his Uncle Jasons Jeep with his sister Brittany riding in the front seat next to him into his Uncle Tonys backyard that then turned into his passion for selling cars. Although he wasnt the greatest driver considering he drove a mini van at a very young age into his grandparents basketball goal at the end of the driveway. Colin attended Christ The King Elementary followed by Bishop Ward high school where he became the Cyclones number one fan. He was usually found with a flag draped over his shoulders pumping up the crowd. That transitioned into Colin becoming a devoted Florida State Seminole, Sporting KC, and Bayern Munich fan. His love for football began in grade school while playing football for the Cobras. On the football field after Colin would tackle an opposing player he would turn to help them up and make sure they were okay showing us at an early age the compassionate heart he had. Colin always managed to find the good in everyone and everything. He always made sure to let everyone he crossed paths with know how loved and important they were. He made friends with strangers and constantly had a smile on his face. Colin was a compassionate human being with a huge heart for helping people. There are many different stories of Colin going out of his way to help others. For instance, during a snow storm Colin gave a ride home to a coworker who had no other way to get there despite living in the opposite direction. Colin found happiness in helping those around him by offering a shoulder to cry on or lending a hand whenever needed. When someone around him was feeling down he always gave them the best hugs to cheer them up. You could not be around Colin without having a smile on your face. Visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N 53rd St, Kansas City, Kansas 66104, on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 5:00-7:00PM.
