Catherine M. Calovich

CATHERINE M. CALOVICH, 98, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at her home in Stockton, MO. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 18, 10:00 AM at St. Mary/St. Anthony Catholic Church, 615 N. 7th Street, KCKS. Entombment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, KCKS. The family will receive friends Monday, August 17th from 4-6 PM with the Rosary at 5:30 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 North 6th Street, KCKS. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Catherine was born Tuesday, October 24, 1916 in Fall City, NE to William and Anna (Wolff) Goolsby. She was the wife of the late Fredrick G. Calovich, Sr. (2002) for 60 years. During this time, she was a nurse at St. Margaret Hospital, Bethany Hospital, and St. Joseph Nursing Home. Catherine was an avid reader, wrote poetry, loved to bake, sang in the church choir with Fred for 50 years, and enjoyed listening to many genres of music. She was a prayerful warrior for her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her son, Francis N. Calovich and three sisters. Surviving are sons, Fred Calovich of Independence, MO, Michael Calovich of Scottsdale, AZ, John Calovich of Kansas City, KS Daughters, Mary Kennedy of Stockton, MO, and Anna Jones of Los Alamitos, CA 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
