Obituary
Bernard "Bob" Francis Delich, 84 of McLouth, Kansas passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 12 with Visitation from 11AM to 1pm and Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:00PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd, Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
Bob was born August 20, 1937 to John and Lorine (Pummel) Delich in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Washington High School and joined the Marine Corp in 1955. Bob was a Corporal and worked as Tank Crewman during his service. He and his wife Phyllis raised three children together; Michael, twins Lisa and Anthony. He was an Iron Worker with the Local 10, where he helped build Arrowhead and Kaufman Stadium and other places in Kansas City, Missouri. Bob loved to travel and his favorite place was the Colorado River in Arizona. Though he worked as an iron worker he could sell ice to a snowman. The American Legion put him in charge of all raffles knowing he would raise an enormous amount of funds for their causes. Bob knew everyone, and if he didnt know them, he would make sure he did in the first five minutes of meeting. He loved his family dearly and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Bob is survived by his children; Michael (Yvonne) Delich, Lisa (Jeff) Watson and Anthony (Donna Myers) Delich, grandchildren; Joshua (Heidi) Palcher, Michael Palcher and Alicia (Garret Parker) Palcher, Eric (Beth) Delich, Ryan Delich and Katie Delich, Jessica Whitledge, Jennifer Whitledge, Jacqueline Whitledge and Brittany (Bryan) Meeker and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents and wife of 45 years Phyllis Delich, 6 siblings and his loving companion of many years, Beatrice Kooken.
