Beatrice Fernandez

Beatrice Fernandez, 86 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospice House, at 4:30 p.m. Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 20th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N. 15th Street Kansas City, KS. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Beatrice was born October 5, 1934 to Ascencion and Mercedes Rodriguez in Kansas City, KS. She spent all of her life in Kansas City, where she attended St. Bridges Catholic School and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1954. After High School she worked at Hartzfeld Department Store in Kansas City, MO., and then worked for Woodlands Race Track as a Hostess until it closed in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry R. Fernandez and daughter Susan Rich. Surviving her are her sister, Irene Gouge, two daughters; Cynthia (Jesse) Lopez and Tina Terrazas, three grandchildren; Jesse Anthony Lopez, Matthew Lopez and Lydia Teresa Terrazas, two great grandchildren; Laila Lopez and Xavier Lopez.
Beatrice Fernandez, was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
