Anthony (Tony) G. Sandoval, 75, has been called home by our Lord on Friday, January 10th, 2025. Tony was born on June 16, 1949, in Kansas City, MO to Octaviano and Eleanor (Garcia) Sandoval. He grew up in Kansas City, KS (Argentine) and graduated from Argentine High School. After graduation he joined the US Army in 1970, where he served in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge in 1972, he married the love of his life, Carol A. Anaya in 1974. He worked at Santa Fe Railroad in K C, KS for over 30 years.
Tony loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. We will always remember how he loved listening to his favorite artist, Santana, and would attend every concert when he came to town. He was also fond of dogs, and he could never find another canine companion like Dusty, his German Shepherd who departed in 1980. Tony also enjoyed watching war, western and action movies any chance he got.
We all love and miss you so much. We don’t know how to go on without our rock and our safe place.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Octaviano and Eleanor (Garcia) Sandoval, and a brother, Juan M. Sandoval. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol A. (Anaya) Sandoval; daughter, Monica Sandoval; daughter, Antoinette M. (Sandoval) Jimenez and husband, Rene; and son, Mark A. Sandoval and wife, Diana. He is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Sandoval and Irene Sandoval, and a brother, Edward Sandoval; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
