Anthony Edmund Koehler

Anthony E. Koehler, 92, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Villa St. Francis in Olathe, Kansas. Funeral services will begin with a Visitation at 10:00AM and Mass at 11:00AM on Friday June 28th at St, Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Dr. Shawnee, Ks. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary in KCKS. Anthony was born February 18, 1927 in Chickasha, OK to Edmund and Petrina (Antanora) Koehler. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 30 years. Anthony and his wife Anna (2016) raised their five children in Kansas City, Ks. He made sure the children always had what they needed by growing their own garden, refurbishing anything that broke, being the family barber, tailor, and wine maker. Anthony never knew a stranger, he loved to travel, photography, and loved to take detours or "shortcuts" that lead to many family adventures. He is survived by his, children; Patricia Koehler, Christine Collins, Lisa Koehler, Matthew Koehler, Anthony Koehler, Many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and sisters; Petrina and Barbara. Preceding him were his parents and wife Anna (Hoffman) Koehler.
