Annette Denise Tomasich, 59, of Mission, Kansas, passed away on November 7, 2020. Born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 25, 1961, Annette was the fifth of six children born to Michael and Harriet Tomasich. Raised in Kansas City, Kansas, Annette attended Christ the King Catholic School, and Bishop Ward High School. An energetic "tomboy," she was a gifted athlete, excelling as a member of the Christ the King track and volleyball teams, and the Wyandotte Swim Club diving team. Annette was also gifted musically, and played the church organ for masses, weddings, and funerals, with her sister Eileen as soloist.
After graduating high school in 1979, Annette began work as a legal secretary and furthered her career as a paralegal working for notable firms in the greater Kansas City area for more than 25 years. A hard worker, she enjoyed down time at the lake, swimming, skiing, and relaxing.
Annette loved her faith, her family, gatherings with family and friends, the lake, the ocean, and the "Dotte." She is predeceased by her parents, Michael J. and Harriet Tomasich, and brother Michael W. Tomasich. Surviving sisters are Karen (Rusty) Doty, Teresa Norton, Eileen Marshall, and Deanne Stephens, and brothers-in-law Clark Marshall and John Stephens. Aunt Annette is survived by nieces and nephews, Nick Tomasich, Andrew Tomasich, Carey Seetin, Christopher Cogley, Roger Norton, Harley Norton, Adam Schwarz, Karrie Glover, Rachel Pedersen, Taylor Reed, Michael Stephens, and Blake Stephens.
Eternal rest grant unto Annette, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the family will be having a private memorial service. Donations in Annettes honor can be made in care of Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th Street, Kansas City, KS 66101.
