Anna (Munjak) Baska, 88, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at North Kansas City Hospice. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28th from 5-7PM, with The Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th, KCK. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 29th at 11:00AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, KCK. Burial immediately following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, KCK. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist or Holy Family Catholic Churches.
Anna was born May 18, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas to George and Anna (Jarsulic) Munjak. She married Gene Baska and is survived by their 3 children and 12 grandchildren: John Baska married Deborah and has three children Austin who is married to Mallory; Sydney who is married to Shauna; and Tyler; Michaela Baska Kelliher married Jerimiah Kelliher and has five children Jacob, Nicholas, David, Christopher and Michael. Jeanna Baska Todd married Rodney Todd and has four children Alex who is married to Katie; Sarah who is married to Nina; Emily who is married to Carson; and Anna. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and she would brag about them to everyone. Anna is also survived by her older sister Rose Brooks and her twin sister Helen Prenitzer. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Joseph Munjak and Mike Munjak.
Anna worked as a surgical nurse for over forty years, retired from the VA hospital where she made it her mission to give back to our veterans. She was an active member of St John’s the Baptist Altar Society, and always wanted to give back to the church and its members. She loved the Lake of the Ozarks where she and her family spent most summers. Anna was a loving and caring person who will be welcomed into Heaven to be with God and her husband Gene.
