Agnes (Sachen-Novosel) Grosdidier, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2023, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. She was born on June 12, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas to Isador and Agnes Sachen. Agnes grew up in on Strawberry Hill, where she attended St. John the Baptist grade school and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1945.
Agnes had a love for learning that remained with her throughout her life. She continued her education and developed new skills while working as a legal secretary for thirty-five years.
Agnes loved spending time with family and friends. She married Ivan Novosel and together raised their daughter Janet Novosel-Thompson. Agnes later married Bernard Grosdidier with whom she shared many joyful years and had another daughter named Diane Grosdidier.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents Isador Sachen and Agnes Sachen, brothers; Joseph Sachen, Albert Sachen, and Edward Sachen, sisters; Helen Kasinic, and Mary Savage, first husband Ivan Novosel, daughter Janet Novosel-Thompson, and second husband Bernard Grosdidier.
Agnes is survived by her loving daughter Diane Grosdidier, many lovely nieces and nephews - all of whom meant so much to her.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation services on Tuesday, June 27th from 9:30 AM -10:30 AM at St John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 708 N 4th St., Kansas City, KS followed by funeral service from 10:30 AM-11:30AM. A burial service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery located at 8300 Quivira Rd, Leneva, KS from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM.
Agnes Grosdidier was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be missed tremendously, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with those who have gone before her and that her spirit will live on through those who were lucky enough to know her.
The family suggests that contributions be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N 4th St, Kansas City, KS 66101 in honor of Agnes.
